Community Guidelines
Mr & Miss Matrimony is a place where families look for a life partner. These guidelines describe how members are expected to behave here. Breaking them can cost you your account.
BE RESPECTFUL
Speak to every member the way you would speak to them in front of their family. No abuse, no insults, no comments about someone's body, religion, caste, region, job or income. Disagreeing is fine; being rude is not.
NO HARASSMENT
Do not send repeated messages or contact requests to a member who has not responded. Do not ask for money, gifts or favours. Do not send sexual, threatening or intimidating messages. If a member declines, that is the end of the conversation.
GENUINE PROFILES ONLY
Create one profile, for yourself or for a family member who has agreed to it. Use your real name, age, marital status, education, job and income. Do not pretend to be someone else, and do not create a second account after an account has been suspended.
PHOTO RULES
Upload only photographs of the person the profile belongs to, taken with their permission. No photographs of children, no photographs of other people used as your own, no nudity, no obscene or violent images, and no pictures downloaded from the internet or from another member's profile. Photos are reviewed before they go live.
KEEP OTHER MEMBERS' DETAILS PRIVATE
Contact details, photos and profile information you receive here are shared with you alone. Do not repost them, forward them, or share them on social media or in groups.
NO BUSINESS OR SPAM
This platform is for marriage introductions only. No advertising, no recruitment, no promotion of other services, no links to outside websites, no collecting member details for any other purpose.
MEET SAFELY
Take your time. Involve your family. Meet first in a public place. Verify important claims — job, income, education, marital status — independently before you commit to anything. We review profiles, but we cannot run background checks.
REPORTING
Every profile has a Report option. Use it if you see a fake profile, harassment, a request for money, or anything that breaks these guidelines. Reports are read by a person, and the member you report is not told who reported them. You can also block a member at any time.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU BREAK THESE RULES
Depending on how serious it is, we may edit or remove the content, hide the profile, warn the member, suspend the account, or remove it permanently. Serious cases — fraud, threats, images of children — are removed immediately and may be reported to the police. Membership fees are not refunded when an account is removed for breaking these rules.
If you believe a decision about your account was wrong, contact our Grievance Officer through the Privacy Policy page.
